To my Dear Friends,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Merle was a good friend. We had such a good time singing and traveling together with `Witness`. Many many fond memories. Shinglehouse lost a good man.

I am very sad to hear of the passing. I know Gary from our shooting activities together and I can see in Merle's pictures that he has the same light of kindness that he passed on to Gary. Gary has a very kind, gentle, and generous soul, it's easy to see how he came by it.

To the Graves Family,
I am so sorry that I could not make it to Shinglehouse to show respect to Merle. He was a great man and a great friend of Leo's. They certainly did a great deal of projects together for the United Methodist church over the years. We will all remember his great bass voice. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit with him the last time I was in Shinglehouse. Where am I going to get that great Graves Maple Syrup?

Thoughts and prayers to the family. God Bless!

Gary and Pat,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. 85 looks like a good run but none the less you will miss him. See you soon.

Keeping his children in our thoughts and prayers. Merle was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed seeing his smile. From when I was a child up to and including on his walks with his wife past our house. We were sure to see him once a year in the past when he would come and tap our maples and then at the end of the season when he brought us some of his homemade syrup. So glad he took so much enjoyment out of his life. Thinking of you all.
