Anthony C. Palumbo    “former Shinglehouse, Pa. resident”

BRISTOL, Pa.---Anthony C. “Tony” Palumbo, 61, of Bristol, formerly of Shinglehouse, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 in Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol, after a short illness.

Born on June 10, 1956 in Bristol, he was a son of Charles A. and Frances Lare Palumbo.  On November 25, 1988 in Oswayo Township, he married the former Deborah K. Stonemetz, who survives. 

Tony attended Neshimany High School in Langhorn.  He was a member of Iron Workers Local 401 in Philadelphia as an iron worker until retiring due to ill health.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a Harley rider and enjoyed boating.

Surviving besides his wife are seven children, Alicia S. Palumbo of Bristol, Katy L. Palumbo of Odenton, MD, Casey L. Palumbo of Philadelphia, Anthony C. Kohlor of Ocean City, MD, David A. Nobles of Canisteo, N.Y., Dawn M. Nobles of Columbia, MD, and Dustin M. Nobles of Canisteo, N.Y.; several grandchildren; a sister, Francine (Lynn) Perkins of Oswayo; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by a sister, Lynn Jacobs.

Friends may call from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 1pm with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Shinglehouse, officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
