COUDERSPORT, PA---Mrs. Barney Mark Crown, 85, a longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away in her home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 25, 2026.

Born on Friday, October 25, 1940 in Westminster, Maryland, she was a daughter of Francis and Margaret Burline Gessel.

Left to cherish her memory are two children; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside burial services will be held in Sweden Hill Cemetery, Coudersport, with the Rev. Richard Allen, pastor of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Coudersport, as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barney’s name may be made to the Veteran’s Food Share Program, c/o God’s Country Ministries, PO Box 674, Coudersport, PA 16915.

Barney’s family has entrusted her care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, Funeral Director/Owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
