I always looked forward to seeing my buddy Charles, Clyde and Margaret, Georgiana coming to LaFrance, South Carolina to see the Landreth Family. Charles would come down and he would always hit a wasp nest with his dynamite left arm and I would always get stung and have to go to the doctor and get a shot. We would go to North Carolina to see the family there. We always stopped at a picnic area about a mile from the North Carolina border and Charles and I would hike ahead of the two families and see how close we could get to Cashiers, North Carolina, before the familieswould come to pick us up.. We were always good buddies. I never will forget our trips to Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania. The people there were so very nice to us and of course Charles introduced me to everyone he knew. I am surely blessed to have known Charles and all of our relatives there in Shinglehouse. I am surely grieved to know that Charles is no longer here. I truly love the Harris family. Love Johnny C Landreth Jr.
