Charles S. Hutwagner                            “devoted and beloved husband”

COUDERSPORT, PA---Charles S. “Chick” Hutwagner, 83, of Coudersport, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

Born on Wednesday, April 1, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Charles J. and Josephine R. Scheier Hutwagner. On November 28, 1964 in Corpus Christi Church in Philadelphia, he married Maryann T. Crowley, who survives.

Chick was a graduate of Roxborough High School in Philadelphia. He was employed by Tasty Kake in Philadelphia retiring after 40 years.

He was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport. Chick loved his hot rods, hunting, fishing, and his dogs throughout the years, his last one being Argo. He was a kind and caring man and was a wonderful, devoted husband.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years; a brother, Stephen Hutwagner of New Jersey; and a nephew, Jesse Hutwagner of New Jersey.

Friends are invited to call from 10am to 11am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Gathering Space of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, 6 Maple Street, Coudersport. A funeral Mass will follow at 11am in St. Eulalia Catholic Church with The Rev. Joseph Dougherty, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Eulalia Catholic Cemetery, Coudersport.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chick’s name may be made to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.

Chick entrusted his care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
