COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Cheryl L. Scoville Phelps, 64, of Coudersport, went to be with the Lord, at home surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cheryl attended Northern Potter High School.  She was a homemaker for 12 years in the Coudersport area, before being employed from what is now the Coudersport Shop N Save, retiring after 32 years of service.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, Paul; her children, Bryan (Calee) Phelps, Paula (Mike) Tarabori, and Theresa (Gary, Jr. “Bill”) Denhoff, all of Coudersport; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Brianna) Phelps of Tucson, Arizona, David Ruberto of Aliquippa, Zachary Phelps, Nicholas Phelps, Clayton Tarabori, Taylor Tarabori, Kirsten Denhoff, and Lane Denhoff, all of Coudersport; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merle “Butch” Scoville of Genesee and William “Bill” (Sherry) Scoville of  Blasdell, N.Y.; a brother-in-law, Kenny Rogers, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Easton, both of Coudersport; several nieces and nephews; and MANY GREAT friends.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by her father-in-law and her mother-in-law, Paul and Ethel Phelps; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Rogers.

Family and friends may call from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm on Monday, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with the Rev. Howard R. Dear family, I am so sorry for your loss. I offer again my condolences and thank God that He gave us Cheryl. She was one of a kind. So unique and indeed a wonderful friend. Yes she queen of Scoville Hill. She made her way around first to her grandpa and grandma Scoville, then to Aunt Mary and Uncle Dick and she owned the hill. We had so many good times. unfortunately I am not able to make it to the visitation or the funeral. I will be praying for each of her family members here at home.
