Clyde David Eck, Jr. “beloved father, son, brother, and uncle” COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Clyde David Eck, Jr., 41, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, in UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport, after suffering injuries on Sunday in an ATV accident. Born on Thursday, July 26, 1979 in Coudersport, he was a son of Clyde David Eck, Sr. and Louise Marie Setzer. Clyde was a graduate of Hebron Center Christian School, Coudersport. He was employed for many years at the Coudersport School District as a custodian and was also employed by Milon and Joyce Bailey as a logger, excavator, and a mechanic. At the time of his death, he was employed by Patrick Hoopes Trucking in Ulysses, as a diesel mechanic, a job he truly loved. Clyde was a social member of Potter Post 192 American Legion in Coudersport and a member of the newly formed Potter County ATV Club. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, ATV riding, and turning a wrench on anything with a motor. His greatest love was his family. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Louise M. Setzer of Coudersport; his father, Clyde David Eck, Sr. of Shinglehouse; a son, Torrence David Eck of Coudersport; a daughter, Sapphire Diamond Marie Davis-Eck of Coudersport; five sisters, Tina M. Johnson Daughenbaugh, Lois M. (David) Tombs, Tina L. Rader, Teresa L. Rader, and Tracy L. (Ronald) Harris, all of Coudersport; many aunts and uncles; many nieces, including special nieces, Tiffany Cunningham, Carly Daughenbaugh, and Brooke Daughenbaugh; many nephews; and many cousins and friends. Clyde was predeceased by his adopted mom, Clare “Jane” Johnson; a brother, Rowland T. “Murph” Johnson; and his paternal grandmother, Lois H. Eck. In keeping with Clyde’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A celebration of his life will be held on a date and place to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research at www.stopsarcoidosis.org/donate (1820 W. Webster Avenue, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60614); or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Clyde’s family entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J.
