David L. "Dave" Brabham

David L. Brabham   “beloved husband, father, son and brother”

OSWAYO, PA---David L. “Dave” Brabham, 56, of Oswayo, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 17, 2015.
     Born October 9, 1958 in Olean, NY, he was a son of George L. and Anna S. Shepherd Brabham.  On February 11, 1984 in   Chrystal, he married Beverly A. Sturdevant, who survives.
     Dave attended Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.  He was employed for over 35 years as the head sawyer for R.A.M. Forest Products in Shinglehouse.
     He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and playing pool and darts.  Dave spent many hours mowing grass along the side of the roads in Oswayo, as well as the bank around the “community swimming hole”.
     Surviving besides his wife are his mother of Shinglehouse; a son, Geoff A. (Erica) Brabham of Hazel Hurst; a daughter, Geri A. (Scott Sorgen) Brabham of Smethport; four brothers, Stephen (Sue) Brabham of Shinglehouse, Donald Brabham of Cassadaga, NY, and Eugene Brabham and Michael Brabham, both of Shinglehouse; two sisters, Jody (Craig) Chandler and Beth (Kevin) Little, both of Portville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his father, Dave was predeceased by a sister, Jane Brabham.
     There will be no public visitation.  At the current time, there are no services planned.
     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA Serving Allegany County, 1374 Route 19A, Wellsville, NY 14895.
     Dave’s family has entrusted his care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
