COUDERSPORT, PA---David Martin Vossler, 47, of Coudersport, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 after a long period of declining health.

Born April 19, 1969 in Lockport, NY, he was a son of Lee M. and Gail E. Wiedenbeck Vossler.  On March 27, 2012 in Galeton, he married Shandella M. Metzger, who survives.

David was a graduate of Wellsville (NY) High School and was a graduate of the School of Vocational Technologies, Wellsville, in the Electromechanical Systems Mechanic program.  He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army having served four years in Germany and two years in Iraq during Desert Storm.

He formerly worked in the IT Department of the former Adelphia Corporation and Time Warner Corporation, both in Coudersport.  He was later employed by Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg until ill health prevented him from working.

David was a member of Potter Post #192 in Coudersport where he had previously served on the Board of Directors.  He was a member of ABATE for many years.  He was an avid motorcyclist, having owned and operated a motorcycle repair shop.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cookouts and tattoo parties with his friends.

Surviving besides his wife and his parents of Wellsville, NY, are a son Pattric Ullom, serving in the U.S. Navy; two brothers, Martin Richard (Crystal) Vossler and Raymond L. Vossler, both of Wellsville, NY; a sister, Lisa A. (Victor) Kemp of Wellsville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

David was predeceased by his grandparents.

There will be no public visitation and currently no services are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in David’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or to the LEEK Preserve, 497 SR 244 East, Oswayo, PA 16915.

David’s family has entrusted his care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
