Deborah L. Pearsall        â€œloving mother, grandmother and wife”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Deborah L. “Deb” Pearsall, 52, of Shinglehouse, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, after a courageous battle with diabetes.
     Born March 13, 1963 in Olean,  NY, she was a daughter of John A. and Josephine I. Fisk Bernard.  On November 8, 2008 in Shinglehouse, she married Wade L. Pearsall, who survives.
     Deb was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse, Class of 1982, where she enjoyed basketball and playing tennis.  She was also a graduate of the former Olean Business Institute in Olean, NY.
     She was employed as a transporter for 7 years for MDS Labs in Olean and then was employed as a secretary for 17 years for the Potter County Probation Office in Coudersport until retiring due to ill health.
     Deb was Catholic by faith.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and country drives.
     Surviving besides her husband and her mother of Shinglehouse are a daughter, Kanda L. Simpson of Shinglehouse; a son, Matt W. (Ashley) Simpson of Chambersburg; two stepdaughters, Randi L. (Ron) Willetts of Shinglehouse and Casey J. Pearsall of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Rylie L. Simpson, who she adored, Skylar J. Washington, Wyatt C. Willetts, Brantley Willetts and Conner B. Willetts; four brothers, Chris (Brenda) Bernard of Powhantan, VA, Steve (Carol) Bernard of Coudersport, Gary (Wendy) Bernard of Shinglehouse, and Paul (Michelle) Bernard of Gasport, NY; two sisters, Cynthia (Bill) Ryan of Wellsville, NY and Linda Bernard of Ceres, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
     Deb was predeceased by her father.
     At Deb’s request there will be no public visitation.  Funeral services will be held privately for immediate family members only at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.  The Rev. Thomas Brown, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Shinglehouse, and the Rev. Clint Pearsall, pastor of Faith Bible Church, Little Genesee, NY, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
     Flowers are gratefully declined and will be provided by the family.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 98, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
