Dolores J. Breck       “loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother”

AUSTIN, PA---Dolores J. Breck, 84, a longtime resident of Austin, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
     Born on May 7, 1931 in DuBois, she was a daughter of Daniel and Ada Luce Powers.  On May 27, 1955 in Burbank, California, she married Stephen J. Breck, Jr., who passed away on January 11, 1999.
     Mrs. Breck graduated from high school in DuBois.  She was homemaker, having worked for a short period of time for Emporium Specialties in Austin.
     Mrs. Breck was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  In her free time, Dolores enjoyed going for walks, dancing, listening to music, playing the tambourine, and enjoying the company of her friends for a cup of coffee at the local diner.  Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
     Surviving are two sons, Stephen D. (Sunhee) Breck of Woodbridge, Virginia and John M. (Beth) Breck of Austin; six daughters, Sheree Y. (Nick) Botera of Emporium, Susan A. Breck of Coudersport, and Carol A. (Jerry) Crumrine, Ali (Jeff) Valenti, Kathleen M. Parsons, and Marea J. Breck, all of Austin; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a brother, Lonnie Powers of Penfield; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Breck was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.
     Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Turner Street, Austin, where a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon with the Rev. Joseph Dougherty, pastor, as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Augustine/St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Costello.

     Mrs. Breck’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
