Donna R. Shutt          “beloved mother, grandmother and sister”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Donna R. Shutt, 78, of Shinglehouse, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.

Born on August 16, 1938 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Howard and Onalee Mix White.  On December 15, 1956 in Sweden Valley, she married Virgle K. Shutt, who passed away on April 26, 1991.

Donna was a graduate of Coudersport High School.  She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee, NY, a member and volunteer of the Oswayo Valley Senior Center in Shinglehouse, and a member of Eureka Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern Star in Shinglehouse.  She loved to read and go on walks, but her greatest love was her family.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth John (Christine) Shutt of Ceres, NY; three daughters, Laurie J. (James) Stone of Milton, Teri L. (Tim) McMullen of Shinglehouse, and Sandra K. Olds of Ceres, NY; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara (Dale) Kellner of Coudersport, Bonita (Bill) Emery and Janet Ellingson, both of  Andover, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was predeceased by a brother, Howard White.

Friends may call from 1pm to 2:45pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 2:45pm with Pastor Ben Ramirez of Faith Bible Church, Little Genesee, NY, and Donna’s grandson, Pastor Ken Shutt of Alfred-Almond Bible Church, Almond, NY, officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

Members of Eureka Chapter #52 O.E.S. will conduct a memorial service at 2:30pm on Saturday in the funeral home.
