Earl L. Glover, 80, of Costello, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born December 29, 1931 in Costello on the family homestead, he was a son of Charles T. and Elizabeth E. Hagland Glover. On January 17, 1953 in Coudersport, he married Mary E. Goodwin, who survives.
Mr. Glover attended Costello Country School and Austin High School. He was employed by Penn Kress Flagstone in Sylvania Township and later was employed by Emporium Contractors in Emporium until retiring in 2002.
He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Mr. Glover was a lifelong resident of Costello.
Surviving besides his wife are a grandson, Avery E. Buckingham, whom he and his wife raised; a granddaughter, Mandi Buckingham; three great-grandchildren, Dominic Guerrero, Savannah Horton, and Kaitlyn Horton; a brother, Tom (Kathy) Glover of Costello; a sister-in-law, Elmelda Glover of Austin; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Susan Warriner of Costello.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Glover was predeceased by a son, Earl R. Glover; two daughters, Mary E. Glover and Joy E. Buckingham; a brother, Bill Glover; and a sister-in-law, Lula Glover.
At Earlâs request there will be no public visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend graveside burial services at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Austin Emergency Services Ambulance Fund, Austin, PA 16720 or to the American Cancer Society.
