Eden C. Bennett “beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister”
OLEAN, NY — Eden C. Bennett, 44, of Olean passed away with her loving family and friends by her side on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a prolonged illness.
Born on Thursday, January 29, 1981 in Olean NY, she was a daughter of Mark Bennett and Virginia Busch Bennett, adding to an already extensive family tree. On May 20, 2006 in Allegany NY, Eden started her own branch of that tree when she took as her husband Robert “Bob” Graff, who survives. That union would yield two children who would enrich both of their lives and would continue to be the light of her life in both this life and the next.
Eden was a graduate of Allegany-Limestone High School and also graduated from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. A caring person, she put her academic degree to practical use when she was employed as a counselor both for troubled teens and individuals struggling with substance abuse. In 2010, after the birth of her second child, Eden stepped away from the working world to dedicate herself to the raising and home schooling of her sons. In the intervening years, she discovered an affinity for crafting and crocheting as well as a love and fascination with the paranormal. As her children matured, she would turn these two passions into her own small businesses; Sassy Pants Crafts and Lady Wagglebutt’s Paranormal Emporium.
In addition to her crafting, Eden deeply loved reading and music, with countless books and CDs lining her shelves. She also held a deep love of animals, and never truly felt complete without a loyal pet by her side. But her greatest love was the family she always held dear, and the numerous friends she always managed to make no matter where she went or what she was doing.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband; her parents of Allegany; two sons, McKinley E. B. Graff and Elliot S. B. Graff, both at home; Gee siblings Patricia, Michael, and Barbara and Bennett siblings Matthew, Barbie, and Beth; many nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Barbara Graff of Bucksport, Maine; and her spiritual sisters, Dylaina Young, Jamie Coccarelli, Jamie Wilday, and Renee White.
Eden was predeceased by her father-in-law, Phillip Graff.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Eden’s life from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at The Hall, 80 North 4th Street, Allegany NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Eden’s name may be made to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County, PO Box 375, Olean, NY 14760.
