SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Fay Elizabeth Cobb, 85, of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly with her loving family and friends at her side on Sunday, June 5, 2016, in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.
Born January 2, 1931 in Morris, she was a daughter of George W. and Emma H. Cobb.
Fay was employed for 31 years at the Oswayo Valley School District in Shinglehouse, retiring as cafeteria manager in 1990.
She was a faithful member of the Bell Run Union Church in Shinglehouse. Fay loved and enjoyed her church family. She was an avid animal lover and supporter of animal advocacy programs, such as the ASPCA. She loved to read and tend to her flowers.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Bell Run Union Church, Taylor Brook Road, Shinglehouse, with the Rev. Chad E. Shaffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County, PO Box 375, Olean, NY 14760.
Fay’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
