Georgia M. Winship
LITTLE GENESEE, NY---Georgia M. Winship, 69, of Little Genesee, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA, after a short illness.
Born November 25, 1942 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of George R. and Viola M. Chapel Winship.
Georgia attended school in Wellsville and had been employed as a maid at the former Holiday Inn, Olean, and was also employed by St. Bonaventure University for many years.
She enjoyed camping, caring for her pets, crocheting and growing live plants. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving are a son, Timothy L. (Debbie Collins) Winship of Mt. Gilead, NC; a granddaughter; three brothers, Caryl L. (Gail) Winship of Olean, Martin L. Winship of Allegany, and Roger L. Winship of Ogden; a sister, Roberta M. Hall of Nottingham, PA; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was predeceased by a brother, Dennis L. Winship.
There will be no public visitation. Georgiaâs last gift was to be an organ donor.
