SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Gerald T. “Jerry” Lamb, 58, of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly in his home Friday, June 12, 2015 after a long illness.
       Born February 24, 1957 in Cuba, NY, he was a son of Thomas and Anna Taylor Lamb.  In 1994 in Shinglehouse, he married Pam G. Appleby, who survives.
     Jerry was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.  He was self-employed having had a firewood and fence post business.  He was also employed by Eldred Township as a laborer before retiring due to ill health.
     Jerry was a member of the Oswayo Valley Rod and Gun Club in Millport.  Before failing health, he loved to hunt.  He enjoyed fishing.  His greatest love was his family.
     Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Tory R. Appleby of Millport; four sons, Nathanial P. “Nate” Appleby of Warsaw, NY, Thomas G. Lamb of Warren, and Alex F. Lamb and Keith A. Lamb, both at home; four grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Terry) Smith of Cuba, NY; two brothers, Donald Lamb of Richburg, NY and Steve (Sarah) Fiske of Ceres, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a sister, Patty Stives.
     In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.  A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on a date and time to be announced.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rayola Appleby, PO Box 91, Ceres, NY 14721, to help assist with expenses.
     Jerry’s family has entrusted his care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
