Glen Alan Taylor                   “loving husband, father, and grandfather”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Glen Alan “Ghost Wolf” Taylor, 73, of Shinglehouse, passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Born on Tuesday, July 7, 1953 in Wellsville, NY, he was a son of Edward D. and Doris Mae Kemp Taylor. On August 11, 1973 in Millport at the Daniel Austin farm, he married Lowanna Fern “Lu” Williams, who survives. Married for 53 years, they raised three children.

Glen enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam War having been stationed in Germany, where he attained his high school diploma. He was a diesel mechanic for all military personnel vehicles. After his honorable discharge, Glen was employed by the former Clark Brothers in Olean, NY and later was employed by PennDOT in Coudersport. He then worked at Waste Management in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Glen was a member of the Oswayo Valley Rod and Gun Club in Shinglehouse, where he taught the Hunter’s Safety Class. He loved shooting, hunting, fishing, shooting rendezvous, and powwows. Glen was known for his Dunkin Donuts iced coffee which he couldn’t go without. He was a loving father, husband, easy ear to talk to and always had jokes to tell. He had the best laugh ever.

Carrying on his loving memories are his wife, “Lu”; two daughters, Elizabeth “Gidget” Taylor Stevens and Brandi Taylor; a son Daniel (Nicole Klopf) Taylor; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Glen was predeceased by a brother, Edward “Skeet” Taylor, Jr.; and a sister, Joyce “Jo” Gardner.

In keeping with Glen’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Glen’s name may be made to a hospice of the donor’s choice or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Glen’s family entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
