Harold Ezra “Cap†Drake II “beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and fiancéeâ€
KITTANNING, PA----Harold Ezra “Cap†Drake II, 61, of Kittanning, formerly of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.
Born December 28, 1951 in Olean, NY, he was a son of Harold Ezra “Ezzie†and Madalyn D. Brown Drake.
Cap was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1969, Shinglehouse, and was a graduate of New Castle Business College, New Castle, and also a graduate of Olean Business Institute, Olean. He was employed as a foreman for J.C. Lee Construction Company in Petrolia.
He was a member of the Kittanning Men’s Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Laborers Local Union No. 952 in Kittanning. Cap loved hunting, baseball, basketball, and golf. He most especially loved his daughters and grandchildren.
Surviving are his mother of Shinglehouse; two daughters, Dr. Cameran (Nick) Payne of Henderson, CO and Dr. Jenni (Jonathan) Stone of Brighton, CO; four grandchildren, Braedon Payne, Ella Payne, Alessa Stone and Zoe Stone; a brother, Glenn (Mary Ann) Drake of Shinglehouse; two sisters, Kay Wagner of Renton, Washington and Mindy (John) Gressley of Shinglehouse; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Gustin of Shinglehouse; several nieces and nephews; and his fiancée, Tracy Roberts of Kittanning.
In addition to his father, Cap was preceded in death by a brother, Buckley “Buck†Drake; and a niece, Melissa Drake.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Cap’s life on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Shinglehouse American Legion Post #530, Rte 44 South, Shinglehouse.
A celebration of Cap’s life will also be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Kittanning Men’s Club, Kittanning.
