Jacqueline E. Thompson     “beloved wife, mother and grandmother”

MILLPORT, PA----Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Thompson, 64, of Millport, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, November 9, 2015, in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.
     Born on March 18, 1951 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Theo Hathaway.  On June 14, 1969 in Shinglehouse, she married Ronald J. “Ron” Thompson, who survives.
     Jackie was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.  For several years she was employed by the former Olean American Tile Company and was later employed as a nurse’s aide at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.  Jackie, along with her husband, lovingly cared for her mother for many years while her health was failing.  
     She enjoyed crocheting, sewing clothes for her family and friends, and making dolls.  She loved decorating her home with thousands of lights at Christmas. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends. Jackie’s greatest love was her family.
      Surviving besides her husband of 46 years are two daughters, Rhonda L. (Ted) Schieler and Lisa A. Thompson, both of Millport; two granddaughters, Megan E. Schieler and Sabrina N. Thompson; a great-grandson, Jordan Tyler John Schieler; a sister, Jane (Ted) Pangburn of Richburg, NY; three brothers, Albert Alan “Squirt” (Calla) Hathaway and Steven (Linda) Hathaway, both of Shinglehouse, and Dennis Hathaway of Salamanca, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
     Jackie was predeceased by her mother.
      Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Michael Miles of Smethport, officiating.
      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018
