Janice Ann Nobles Lippman     “former Bolivar, N.Y. resident”

DADE CITY, Fla.----Janice Ann Nobles Lippman, 75, of Dade City, Florida, formerly of Bolivar, NY and Wellsville, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Born on October 4, 1941 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Leonard D. and Lucille B. Henderson Nobles.  In 1965 in the Bolivar United Methodist Church, she married Robert Clark Lippman, who passed away in 1993.

Janice was a 1958 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and attended the University of Buffalo, College of Nursing, where she obtained her licensure as a registered nurse.  Janice’s love for nursing carried her through many different disciplines over a career of nearly 50 years.  She began as a nurse at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, before teaming up with Drs. Akman, Harkness and Sale in their private practice.   Upon moving to Florida in 1980, Janice found her passion as the assistant director of nursing at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home.  She assisted in the creation of the Alzheimer and dementia unit before moving to Asheville, NC in 1992 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.  In 1994, the family returned to Dade City.  Janice then joined the staff of Hernando-Pasco Hospice, a career that gave her great joy.  She was touched by every patient she served and was certainly the nurse the Lord created her to be.

Surviving are a daughter, Kim Marie (Jeffrey) Patterson of Dade City; five grandchildren, Sarah Walden, Marcus Walden, Michelle James, Alyssa Walden, and Kristen Patterson; eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Jr., Savannah, Jahaira, Gianna, Scarlett, Harris, Aubree, and Joshua Marcus; two sisters, Mary Clark of Bolivar and Barbara White of Landrum, S.C.; two special nieces, Bobbi Jo Baldwin and Kelly Kozlowski; three nephews, Greg Fancher, Scott Fancher, and Kevin Dennis; a stepson, Robert C. (Judy) Lippman, Jr. of Houston, Texas; a sister-in-law, Kay Dennis; an aunt, Guinevere Nobles; numerous cousins; a precious friend, Judy Regan; many exceptional friends; and her faithful companion for the last seven years, her dear Morkie “Abby” Abigail, who misses her mommy dearly.

In addition to her parents and former husband, Janice was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Michael Walden, who passed away in 2016 and a nephew, Daniel Patrick Clark.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside burial service at 11am on Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, with Pastor Marlin M. Miller of the Kossuth Community Chapel, officiating.

Janice’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.

Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to any local hospice organization and would be most appreciated by the family.
