John T. Crossman
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---John T. Crossman, 82, of Shinglehouse, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in UPMC Williamsport, after a long illness.
Born on Monday, December 7, 1942 in Rochester, NY, he was a son of James H. and Olive E. Kennedy Crossman.
John was a graduate of East Rochester High School, Class of 1961. He was a US Army veteran having served as radio operator in Alaska during the Vietnam War Era. He served a four year apprenticeship with the NY Central Railroad. He was employed by Dresser Industries in Wellsville, NY, retiring in 2003 as a Senior Design Draftsman.
In his earlier years, John enjoyed hunting and fishing. He always had a joke or story to tell.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 39 years, Phyllis Napier of Shinglehouse; two sons, Franklin W. (Kim) Crossman of Lexington, KY and Arthur W. Crossman of Hastings, PA; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and Phyllis’ son, James Napier of Anoka, MN.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Crossman and Kenneth E. Crossman; and two sisters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Rotoli and Mary M. Young.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

John entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
