I just found out that Joyce passed away last year. I am so sorry for your loss. I am Ernie Blackburn's daughter, Joyce's step-daughter. When my Dad passed in 2009 Joyce and I stayed in touch for a few years. I wish we had stayed in touch longer. I have known Joyce since I was 17. I lived with Dad & Joyce for years before I married. Joyce and I didn't always see eye to eye, typical step-mother / step-daughter differences as I was young when they met. However, we had a lot of good times. I have fond memories of making Christmas peanut butter doggy cookies for miles with Joyce. Joyce bought me my first cookie cutter and we had a blast. I also fell in love with her dog Klutz. Joyce is in heaven now with my father. I will see them in Heaven. I love and miss them both.

Mike and I have known Joyce for 32+ years. She taught our kids in S.S. at Bethel Baptist in Olean before attending GBIBC. She was a dear friend of my mother-in-love as well. Her wanting to share photos of our growing children was always such a blessing. Kevin was always a special one for her as she watched him grow and go into the military. He looked forward to getting hugs from him when he was home on leave. Such a precious godly woman. She leaves a huge hole and will be missed greatly! Looking forward to seeing her in Heaven on that great reunion day!

We had many good visits with Joyce through the years and appreciated the many crafts and photos that she so eagerly shared . She loved her Lord greatly and was very faithful in serving Him in many ways. Not bashful at all in witnessing and talking about her Savior. We counted Joyce and Ernie as close friends and our loss of them here is heaven's gain.
" precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints " . There really is no place like HOME !

Our family was adopted by Ernie and Joyce. Joyce took care of our children when I was ill. She took care of me when I was ill. I am truly saddened to hear of her passing. She truly was an amazing woman once you really got to know her. I truly do miss her. RIP MY DEAR FRIEND May the Lord wrap his loving arms around you during this time.

Joyce loved our Grace Bible kids and they loved her too! She brought them to the Lord in her prayers. Ernie was the love of her life and missed him very much after his passing. How happy she must be in the presence of her Lord and reunited with Ernie.
