MILLPORT, PA---Katheline “Marion†Watson Cherilla, 85, of Millport, former of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Clearfield Hospital, Clearfield.
Born August 21, 1926 in Bradford, she was a daughter of Albert Reed and Olive Mae Kent Watson. On September 29, 1946 in Bradford, she married Vincent Cherilla, who died on July 3, 1996. They were married for over 49 years.
Mrs. Cherilla worked for a number of years at the former Gray’s Drug Store in Bradford, Zippo Manufacturing in Bradford and by Dresser Manufacturing in Bradford. She and her husband had their own luncheonette, Cherilla's Luncheonette, on Kennedy Street in Bradford for a number of years. They moved to Millport in 1985.
Mrs. Cherilla attended the Millport United Methodist Church and had formerly volunteered at the Oswayo Valley Senior Center in Shinglehouse.
Surviving are two sisters, her twin, Katherine "Kay" Raymer of Concord, NC and Marie M. (Edwin) Hanes of Grampian; a brother, Marty E. (Marlene) Watson of Millport; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cherilla was predeceased by two brothers, Albert H. Watson and Edward L. Watson; and three sisters, Leona Newman, Leatha Ransom, and Gertrude Watson.
Friends may call at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from noon to 2 p.m. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Becky L. Edwards, pastor of Millport United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery, Genesee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
