Kathryn L. Stuckey      “beloved mother and grandmother”

Odin, PA---Kathryn L. “Kay” Stuckey, 94, of Odin, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a short illness.

Born December 25, 1922 in DuBois, she was a daughter of Lee and Cordie English Neff. On April 2, 1941 in Emporium, she married Clifford S. Stuckey, who passed away on March 27, 1985.

Kay was a graduate of Renovo High School.  She, along with her husband, owned and operated the former Stuckey’s General Store and Gas Station in Keating Summit, then ran Stuckey’s Tavern in Austin, and later they owned Stuckey’s Store in Austin.  For many years she was a driver for the IU9 program. 

Kay was a lifetime member of the Austin United Methodist Church, a member of the former Mecca Chapter #217 Order of the Eastern Star in Austin, and a member of the Birthday Club. She was an avid bowler.  Her greatest love was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna D. Campbell of Eldred, Thelma L. (Jim) Emigh of Morrisdale, and Sandra K. (John) Fowler of Austin; two sons, Clifford S. (Jeannie) Stuckey, Jr. of Costello and Ron L. (Robin) Stuckey, Sr. of Austin; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kay was predeceased by a daughter, Dixie L. Ripple; two grandsons, Todd M. Stuckey and Tony J. Emigh; two sons-in-law, Michael Campbell and William Ripple; and five sisters.

Friends may call from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Austin United Methodist Church, Turner Street, Austin, where funeral services will follow at noon with the Rev. Steven D. Small, pastor of the Southern Potter United Methodist Charge, officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activity Fund of Cole Manor, 101 East Maple Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.

Kathryn’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
