Kenneth A. Ford “dedicated child of God”
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---My body died today, Tuesday, October 7, 2025. My soul is alive and well in Heaven!! At the age of eight, I accepted Christ as my Saviour and have looked forward to this day since! Now I am with my Saviour!
I was born April 25, 1942 to Glen and Ava Sherwood Ford in Bell Run, PA. I was one of nine brother and sisters, Lorena, Loretta, Orville, Agnes, Jack, Roland, Dennis and Jessie. At the age of nine, my Mom and Dad had passed away and Agnes and Jack raised the rest of us!
After graduation from Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1960, I worked in the oil fields, Olean Tile Company, and Dresser Rand.
On April 24, 1965, I married my best friend and high school sweetheart, Teresa Haynes. We had two sons, Timothy (Colista) Ford and Neil (Ashley) Ford and by them had three granddaughters, Brooklyn, Grace and Autumn. My family was my joy!
I was a charter member of Bell Run Union Church and served in different positions.
I served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966 stationed at Ft. Dix, NJ, Ft. Devens, MA, and Ft. Myer, VA, driving for the Pentagon.
In the 1980’s I served on the Oswayo Valley School Board and the Dresser Rand Federal Credit Union Board.
I hope I have been a good husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
I beg you to accept Christ and come to Heaven with me! God blessed me with the words to over 200 poems.
Private graveside services were held in the Bell Run Cemetery, Shinglehouse, PA.
