Margaret V. “Margie†Pierce “beloved sisterâ€
OLEAN, NY---Margaret V. “Margie†Pierce, 89, a longtime resident of Olean, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Absolut at Allegany after a short illness.
Born April 19, 1925 in Austin, PA, she was a daughter of John W. and Lillian B. Sherwood Bradley. On August 8, 1962 in Olean, she married Henry E. “Skip†Pierce, who passed away on August 2, 2006.
Margie was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Coudersport, PA. She was a cook and waitress in Olean for many years. She retired from AVX Corporation in Olean.
Surviving is a sister, Lorraine J. Moran of Coudersport.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margie was predeceased by three brothers, Basil N. Bradley, Donald S. Bradley, and James O. Bradley; and a sister, Lois M. Knight.
In keeping with Margie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Margie’s family has entrusted her arrangements to the care of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
