Margery A. “Minnie” Mooney    “beloved wife, mom, and grandmother”

CERES, PA----Margery A. “Minnie” Mooney, 74, of Ceres, PA, passed away with her loving by her side on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, after a lengthy illness.
     Born November 10, 1940 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Clifton and Winifred Norton Marvin.  On September 26, 1958 in Portville, NY, she married Francis B. Mooney, who survives.
     Minnie was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.  She was employed by AVX Corporation in Olean, NY for 12 years and later worked at Zippo Manufacturing in Bradford for 15 years until her retirement.
     Minnie loved to play solitaire and read, but her greatest love was her family.
     Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Mark A. (Laurie) Mooney of Beaver Dams, NY, Jaime A. (Mary) Mooney of Hudson, Ohio, Brett A. (Anita) Mooney of Macedonia, Ohio, and Tracy O. (Pam) Mooney of Garfield Heights, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, Minnie was predeceased by three brothers, Richard Marvin, Edgar Marvin, and Robert “Pete” Marvin; and three sisters, Barbara Baldwin, Twila Stickles and Verna “Peggy” Dumke.
     In keeping with Minnie’s wishes, services and burial were privately held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Ceres.
     Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in Minnie’s name may be made to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance    Association, PO Box 98, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
     Minnie’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
