Mary E. Glover

COSTELLO, PA---Mary E. Glover, 75, of Costello, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Long Term Care at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a short illness.

Born December 15, 1936 in Austin, she was a daughter of William Goodwin and Elizabeth Lupold Goodwin Coy.  On January 17, 1953 in Coudersport, she married Earl L. “Babe” Glover, who died on May 12, 2012.

Mrs. Glover attended Austin High School.  She was a lifelong resident of Costello.  
    
She enjoyed crocheting, doing word searches, and most especially visiting with family and friends.  She loved playing with her great-great-nephew, Treigh.

Surviving are a grandson, Avery E. Buckingham; a granddaughter, Mandi S. (Tim) Horton; three great-grandchildren, Dominic Guerrero, Savannah Horton, and Kaitlyn Horton; a brother, Walter (Donna) Goodwin of Costello; a brother-in-law, Tom (Kathy) Glover of Costello; a sister-in-law, Emelda Glover of Austin; several nieces and nephews, including Joan (Larry) Tilburg of Costello; and a close friend, Susan Warriner of Costello.
    
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Glover was predeceased by a son, Earl R. Glover; two daughters, Joy E. Buckingham and Mary E. Glover; and two brothers, Robert Goodwin and Norman Coy.
    
At Mary’s request there will be no public visitation.  Friends and family and invited to attend graveside burial services at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Austin.
    
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Costello United Methodist Church, c/o Liz Hunsinger, Costello Road, Austin, PA 16720 or to the American Cancer Society.
    
Arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
