Mary E. Shreiner
COUDERSPORT, PA---Mary E. Shreiner, 95, of Coudersport, formerly of Spring City, passed away Monday (April 16, 2012) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born June 17, 1916 in Goshen, PA, she was a daughter of Grover and Edna Gohean White. On June 18, 1936 in Elkton, Maryland, she married Earl G. Shreiner, who passed away on October 16, 1987.
Mrs. Shreiner was employed at Acme Markets in Paoli and in the food service department at Immaculata College in Frazer. She retired from Delights Fast Food Restaurant in Malvern.
Mrs. Shreiner was an avid reader, enjoyed word search puzzles, crocheting, and dancing, especially polka dances. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving are four daughters, Lorraine Krupacs of Haddonfield, NJ, Louise (Dale) Wells of Conway, SC, Grace (Richard) Simes of Trout Run, and Debbie (Mike) Smith of Lake Wallenpaupack; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; a brother Earl L. White of Honey Brook; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shreiner was predeceased by several brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, with Mrs. Shreinerâs son-in-law, Richard Simes, officiating. Burial will be in Covenant Presbyterian Cemetery, Frazer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sweden Valley Manor, Patient Activity Fund, 1028 East Second Street, Coudersport, PA 16915.
