Nancy J. Mix           “beloved sister and aunt”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Nancy J. Mix, 69, of Shinglehouse, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 in the Long Term Care Unit at Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a long illness.
     Born on June 24, 1946 in Sharon Center, she was a daughter of John D. and Ethel P. Haynes Mix.
     She was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.
     Nancy was a member of the Shinglehouse United Methodist Church and a member of the former Sharon Grange #1247.  She enjoyed reading, and collecting salt and pepper shakers and porcelain dolls.  She loved spending time with her family.
     Surviving are a brother, Theodore G. “Ted” (Bonnie) Mix of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by two brothers, David P. Mix and Donald D. Mix.
     Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Becky L. Edwards, pastor of the Shinglehouse United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Myrtle.
