ROULETTE, PA---Rhoda T. Weimer, 72, a lifelong resident of Roulette, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Monday, July 28, 2025, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a period of declining health.


Born on Sunday, June 28, 1953, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Leonard and Ruth Thompson Treat. On October 22, 1972 in San Diego, California, she married Joseph L. “Joe” Weimer.


Rhoda was a graduate of Port Allegany High School where she played several instruments in the school band, including the Bassoon and was also in the school chorus.


Rhoda was employed as a secretary at the Port Allegany High School and was also employed at Agway in Coudersport. She was also employed as a secretary for Wyker and Duvall Attorneys at Law in Coudersport and was also employed by her husband’s and brother-in-law’s business, Weimer Brothers Trucking in Roulette. She retired from Potter County Human Services where she was an ombudsman.


She was a member of the Sartwell Creek Union Church in Port Allegany and was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Roulette. Rhoda’s musicality followed her from high school, as she was an organist at several area churches. She enjoyed painting artwork. Rhoda loved her flower gardens and riding with her husband on their Harley trike. Her greatest love was her family.


Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 52 years; a daughter, Denise (Billy Elder) Weimer of Irving, NY; seven grandchildren, Cole (Hannah) Dean of Rimersburg, Wyatt Dean of Rimersburg, Annette (Ryan) Dean of Miles, OH, Dan (Mckayla) Dean, Jr. of Houtzdale, Samantha (Nathan)Watt of Kittanning, Wesley (Crystal) Williams of Clarion, and Harlee (Kevin) Williams of Port Allegany; nine great-grandchildren: a brother, Leonard (Linda) Treat of Roulette; a sister, Rose Chilson of Asheboro, NC; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Esther Weimer of Roulette; and her precious Golden Retriever, Katie.


In addition to her parents, Rhoda was predeceased by her father-in-law, Rayburn “J-Bird” Weimer; and two nephews.


A celebration of Rhoda’s life will be held on a date and place to be announced.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rhoda’s name may be made to the Roulette Public Library, 4 Railroad Avenue, Roulette, PA 16746 or to the Roulette Fire Department, 12 River Street, Roulette, PA 16746.


Rhoda’s husband has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
