Richard T. Glover                “Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather & Lifelong Friend”

AUSTIN, PA---Richard T. Glover, of Austin, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. A lifelong resident of Barnett Lane, Austin, Richard’s steady presence, kind heart, and strong family ties made him a cornerstone of his community and a blessing to all who knew him.

Born on August 26, 1947, in Austin, PA, he was the son of Ray and Priscilla Peno. Richard lived a life grounded in love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He was married to his beloved wife Nancy for 50 wonderful years, celebrating their anniversary every September 21st since 1974. Together, they built a home full of laughter, family traditions, and unwavering support.

Richard was the proud father of Renee Ando (Mike) of Buffalo, NY; Elizabeth Eberle of Pittsburgh, PA; Rich Glover (Billy Sue) of Austin, PA; and their dog Callie. He was a deeply devoted Grandpa to his grandchildren: Zach Erich of St. Marys, PA; Logan Erich of Buffalo, NY; Danielle Eberle, Austin Eberle, and Zack Eberle of Pittsburgh, PA; Hannah Glover of Rochester, NY; Parker Glover of Augusta, GA; Jackson Glover of Austin, PA; and Michael Ando Jr. (Lindsey) of Buffalo, NY. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Riley, Luciano, Gia, Leo and Chase.

Richard is survived by his brothers Joe Glover and Tom Glover, both of Austin, and Bruce Glover of Emporium. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Priscilla Peno; his father-in-law, Dr. George Poore; his siblings Chuck, Rick, and Alb Glover; and his sister Joanie Tilburg. He was also preceded in death by two dearly missed grandchildren, Josh and Michelle, and great-grandchild, Arabella.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, strong work ethic, and the way he always put family first. Whether sitting quietly, offering a steady hand, or sharing a joke that made you laugh, Richard had a gift for making people feel at home in his presence.

He dedicated 31 years of service to PennDOT and was a lifelong member of the Austin Volunteer Fire Department and the Austin Historical Society. He was also a social member of the Austin VFW and the Austin-Costello Sportsman's Club. An active community volunteer, he gave his time to the Potter County Anglers Association and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Richard was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, 402 N. Main Street, Coudersport, with a visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by his funeral at 1PM, with Pastor Donald Caskey and Pastor Warren Cederholm, officiating.
