AUSTIN, PA---Robert C. “Bob” Keck, 92, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a brief illness.

Born on June 15, 1933 in Austin, he was the son of Charles E. and Marjorie V. Evans Keck. On October 22, 1951 in Coudersport, he married Avis A. Williams, who survives.

Robert graduated from Austin Area School. He had worked at GTE Sylvania, W. W. Kimmons Construction Company, and Emporium Specialties Company Inc. After 30 years of service, he retired from Emporium Specialties in 1995.

He was a life member of the Austin-Costello Sportmens Club and served on the Austin Area School Board for several years. Robert enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and many outdoor activities, as well as his grand-dog, Dazzler. He always wanted to make sure his lawn was perfect by picking every single dandelion from it. Robert also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and having a good cold beer every now and then.

Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Lisa A. (John) Rotello of Austin; three grandchildren, Timithy R. (Peggy) Crumrine of Lewis Run, Brooke R. (Blair) Shupe of Austin, and Alyson I. Rotello of Austin; four great-grandchildren, Kyle R. (Filane) Crumrine of Bradford, Ashley J. (Michael) Lipps of Lewis Run, Payton D. Shupe of Austin, and Keaton D. Shupe of Austin; four great-great-grandchildren, Reagan Lipps, Brayden Lipps, Kailena Crumrine, and Corydon Crumrine; and a son-in-law, David D. Crumrine.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia G. “Cindy” Crumrine.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Memorials in Robert’s name can be made to the Austin Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 328, Austin, PA 16720 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Robert entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
