COUDERSPORT, PA---Ronald E. “Archie” Lohr, 88, of Coudersport, formerly of Novelt, PA, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side, on Monday, June 15, 2026.


Born on Friday, March 18, 1938 in Greensburg, he was a son of Glen and Mary Collier Lohr. On February 10, 1991 in Coudersport, he married Linda Setzer Cole Lohr, who survives.


Archie was a graduate of Hurst High School, where he was a quarterback on the football team. He graduated from Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia with a degree in Engineering.


Archie was a veteran of the US Army having served for 14 months on the DMZ in Korea.


For 38 years, Archie was employed as an Audio Engineer for NBC affiliate WPXI TV Channel 11 in Pittsburgh.


Archie was a former member of Hecla Sportsman’s Club in Helca, PA, a former member of Sportsman’s Association of Greensburg in Norvelt, and was a former member of the Sinnemahoning (PA) Sportsman’s Club. His relaxation times came from keeping his Ram trucks sparkling clean and would spend the entire day polishing them, he LOVED to dance to country music like George Jones, Vern Gosden, Don Williams and Merle Haggard. He was the FIRST on the dance floor and that would get everyone up and dancing. He enjoyed hunting the mountains in Potter County around Wharton and Logues Run since he was 15. His "Big Heart" and laugh will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Linda; his former wife, Donna Wadsworth Lohr; a son, Mike (Linda) Lohr; a daughter, Sandy Lohr (Stephen) Puskar; a grandson, Kyle (Kylie) Puskar; two great-grandchildren, Johnna and Mckenna; three stepsons, Jay (Connie) Cole, Corbett (Dina) Cole, and Nathanial ( Cara) Cole; and six step-grandchildren, Aylson, Sarah, Gabriel, Liberty, Austin, and Jaxson.


In addition to his parents, Archie was predeceased by his precious one month old son, Brian Scott Lohr.


There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on a date and place to be announced. Burial will be in Sweden Hill Cemetery, Coudersport.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in Archie’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.


Archie’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
