Ruth Z. Dailey         “beloved wife, mother, & grandmother”

ELEVEN MILE, PA----Ruth Z. Dailey, 86, of Eleven Mile, PA, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, March 31, 2013.
     Born March 1, 1927 in Eleven Mile, she was a daughter of Glenn and Ruby Hyde Ellis.  On February 16, 1946 at the family homestead, she married Jim D. Dailey, who survives.
     Ruth was a devoted mother and wife.  She was a member of the Millport United Methodist Church where she was the organist for many years.  She enjoyed flowers and gardening.  She most especially loved spending time with her family.  Mrs. Dailey, along with her husband, raised over 30 foster children.
     Surviving besides her husband are eight children, Jimmie G. (Sue) Dailey of Cochranton, Dawn L. (Don) Carter of Ohio, Donald E. Dailey of Olean, NY, Diane E. (Jim) Casini of Frewsburg, NY, Dann E. (Tammy) Dailey of Crosby, John P. (Millie) Dailey of Eleven Mile, Debbie L. Dailey of Portsmouth, VA, and Gary E. (Pam) Dailey of Coudersport; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two foster sons, Terry Haskin of Hebron and David (Rose) Haskin of Eleven Mile.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dailey was predeceased by an infant son; a great-grandson, Kyler Hogle; and two brothers, Robert Ellis and John Ellis.
     There will be no public visitation or funeral services.  Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery.
     Flowers are gratefully declined.  Memorials may be made to the Millport United Methodist Church, Canada Hollow Road, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
