SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Sharon D. Goss, 64, of Shinglehouse, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, after a long illness.
Born October 7, 1948 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Lester T. and Ernestine P. Aumiller Goss.  On September 8, 1998 in Shinglehouse, she married Earl W. Dickerson, who survives.
Sharon attended Lewistown Elementary School and was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, class of 1967.
She was employed at K-Bar Knives in Olean, then as a supervisor at the former King Windows in Coudersport, later worked at Professional Answering Service in Olean, and lastly was employed as a secretary at Dresser-Rand in Olean until retiring due to ill health.
In times of her own personal troubles, Sharon was always more concerned for others than herself.  In her younger years Sharon loved to play softball.  She loved to go to yard sales, especially knowing that she was helping someone else by her purchase. She loved her family, her friends, and her “little girls”, Lacy and Sneakers, her beloved dogs.  She loved collecting angels, enjoyed the mystery of “Big Foot” and mountain lions.  Sharon loved attending her family’s sporting events.  She enjoyed camping with her family and friends. She was a generous supporter of the American Cancer Society and local animal shelters.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Brady A. Goss of Shinglehouse; a daughter, Miranda B. (Mike) Mesler of Shinglehouse; four grandchildren, Nick A. Goss, Adrianna E. Mesler, Dawson J. Mesler, and Asher B. H. Mesler, all of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by two brothers, Kennard E. “Shorty” Goss and Ted Goss.
Friends may call at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Russell J. Horning, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Shinglehouse, officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915; to the American Cancer Society; or to the Wounded Veteran’s Association.

Earl,Brady and Nick, her loss is going to be a big void in a lot of people's lives.  I know supportive and proud of you guys she was but visiting with her on fb and reading her posts and comments  it was very obvious she was a very thoughtful, supportive friend to many.  Going to miss her, she always had a little story to tell me about my aunt Kay, lol. Again we are sorry.
