CONEVILLE, PA---Shirley R. Holmberg, 88, of Coneville, PA, formerly of Ridgway, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, November 13, 2014, after a long illness.
Born May 3, 1926 in Kane, PA, she was a daughter of John and Willa Bullers Eliason. In 1946 in Ridgway, she married Claude E. Holmberg, who passed away on February 26, 2006.
Shirley was employed at PNC Bank in Ridgway retiring after many years of service.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ridgway. Shirley loved to crochet. Her greatest love was her husband. She adored her many cats.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Sandie (Roy) Amidon of Coneville, who lovingly provided a home for Shirley.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents and husband.
There will be no public visitation. Private funeral services will be held in the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA with the Rev. Becky L. Edwards, pastor of the Shinglehouse United Methodist Charge, officiating. Burial will be in Ott Cemetery, Ridgway.
Flowers are gratefully declined and will be provided by the family. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
