Wilma W. LeBarr  â€œbeloved grandmother and friend”

ELDRED, PA---Wilma W. LeBarr, 99, a lifelong resident of Port Allegany and Eldred, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Bradford Manor, Bradford, after a long illness.
     Born April 28, 1916 in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Leonard B. and Gertrude Fessenden.  She married Francis Stuart who predeceased her and later married Victor LeBarr who also preceded her in death.
     Wilma attended country school in the Port Allegany area.  For many years she was a grocery clerk for the former Loblaw’s Market in Bradford and often filled in at Loblaw’s in Olean, NY and Salamanca, NY.
     Wilma loved her many cats and dogs.  She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
     Surviving are a granddaughter, Tammy L. (Ron) Aaron of Portville, NY; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; her caring friend, Edwin H. Fichtner of Shinglehouse; and a daughter-in-law, Marcy Stuart of Hudson, NC.
     In addition to her parents and husbands, Wilma was predeceased by a son, Edwin B. Stuart in January of 1991; a grandson, Tim “Chiz” Chisholm in November of 2010; a great-grandson, Eric L. Talbott in November of 1991; a step-granddaughter, Brenda Tarr in July of 1991; and a daughter-in-law, S. Linda Chisholm in July of 1999.
     Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse, PA, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. James E. Haddon, pastor of the Shinglehouse Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Duke Center Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bradford Manor Patient Activity Fund, 50 Langmaid Lane, Bradford, PA 16701 or to an SPCA of the donor’s choice.
