COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Bruce Kevin Moshier, 66, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, January 31, 2022.

     Born on Friday, September 30, 1955 in Coudersport, he was a son of John “Jack” and Mary Thompson Moshier. On July 9, 1977 in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coudersport, he married Amy J. Lattin, who survives.

     Bruce was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of 1973. He earned his Associate’s Degree in diesel mechanics from Williamsport Area Community College.

     Throughout his career, he was employed by Gas Field Specialists in Shinglehouse, Portville Truck & Auto in Portville, N.Y., and Kightlinger Motors in Coudersport before retiring from PennDot after 20 years. He also enjoyed helping at Potter County Outfitters in Coudersport for a number of years.

     Bruce was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coudersport for a number of years, a life member of the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department where he served in many capacities throughout the years, a member and past ambulance chief of the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was an avid collector of many things. Bruce, most of all, loved spending with his friends and family.

     Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years are three children, Michelle (Josh) Parrish, Christina (Ed) Baer, and Travis (Jen) Moshier; six grandchildren, Brittany (Scott Furman) Hunt, Andrew, Kael and Kole Parrish, and Hunter and Haylee Moshier; a sister, Elaine Goodrich; a brother, John (JoAnn) Moshier; a sister-in-law, Lori Lattin; many nieces and nephews; a great-nephew; numerous cousins; and many friends, including his lifelong friend, Kevin Saulter, Sr.

     In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Margaret Lattin; and a brother-in-law, John Lattin.

     A celebration of Bruce’s life will start at 2pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 161, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 651, Coudersport, PA 16915.

     Bruce’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
