ROULETTE, Pa. – Cheryl D. Card, 77, of Roulette, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Born on Monday, July 16, 1945, in Greenville, NC, she was the daughter of Harold “Hoy” E. and Beatrice M. Manning Hall. On April 8, 1995, in Coudersport, Pa, she married Raymond E. “Ray” Card, who passed away on September 27, 2015.

She graduated from Vermilion High School in Vermilion, Ohio and attended Jamestown Community College later in life.

Cheryl played Trumpet in the high school band and the French Horn in High School Concert Band. With her love of music, she sang in the High School and Church Choirs.

Cheryl loved accounting and spent most of her career in accounting and management positions ranging from Burger King, a home development firm, and finishing her accounting career at Pierce Federal Credit Union in Port Allegany Pa.

She loved gardening, canning, sewing, crafting and collecting Fenton Glass and owls. Earlier in life she was a member of the VFW, Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Potter County Chapter of A.A.H.A

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jennifer Sterrett Pinchock of Roulette, Pa. and Jacqueline Sterrett (Errick) Thomas of Turtlepoint, Pa.; a stepson, Raymond W Card of Port Allegany, Pa.; three stepdaughters, Tami Card Lapp of Roulette, Pa., Mona Card Teclaw of Port Allegany, Pa., and Paula Card Whitney of Port Allegany, Pa.

Cheryl cherished her precious Grandchildren. Jason (Jennifer) Cornelius of Roulette, Pa., Tyler Cornelius of Denver, Colorado, Tanner Thomas of Turtlepoint, Pa., Barbara Pinchock (Steven Kanaley) of Highstown, New Jersey and Rebekah Pinchock of Warren, Pa.; and 3 Great Granddaughters, Jocelyn Cornelius, Alianna Cornelius and Hayden Reed. One brother, Mikel Hall of Leon, WV. Two Nieces, Melissa Khoury of Cleveland, Ohio, Marry Ann Hall (David) Cousino of Radcliff, KY; and 1 nephew, Mikel Hall Jr. of Texas.

Also surviving are Cheryl’s lifelong friends, Carol Schmidt (Ron) Baske, Nancy Schmidt (Dave) Gastin. and Brenda Grandin Milliron.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, her husband, sister Lola Lade and son Jason A Sterrett.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Cheryl’s honor on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 1:00pm at the Port Allegany Veterans Memorial Home, Route 155, Port Allegany, PA 16743.

Cheryl entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
