Born on Thursday, November 26, 1953, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Randall B. and Iva I. Knowlton Ayers.  On October 11, 1986 in the Sunbury Bible Church, Sunbury, she married Michael D. Broscious, who survives.

During baseball season rooting on the New York Yankees, and during football season, the Buffalo Bills. Dee was very involved in many capacities with Potter County Special Olympics.  She loved playing bingo and sitting around the card table weekly playing Texas Hold ‘Em with her brothers- her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Gigi”.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; a daughter, Brianna M. (Jason) Mehl of Clara; a son, Benjamin M. Broscious of Shinglehouse; four grandchildren, Kira N. Lee, Elliot R. Mehl, Raelyn A. Mehl, and Sierra M. L. Mehl; a sister, Shirley A. (Clate) Watson of Bradenton, Florida; three brothers, William “Butch” (Paula) Ayers of Bolivar, NY, Raymond (Terry) Ayers of Summit, NY, and James (Sue) Ayers of Bolivar, NY: and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Dee was predeceased by six brothers, Larry, Gary, Chuck, Ronnie Joe, Gene and Leland “Bacon” Ayers; and a sister, Betty Nolan.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff at Roswell Park. We will forever be grateful to all who were a part of her care. The kindness and compassion you showed her, and our family did not go unnoticed.
