Kris A. Wieder “beloved brother, Patriot, and proud American”
SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Kris A. Wieder, 60, of Shinglehouse, went home to be with the Lord, his parents, family and friends, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on Tuesday, January 14, 1964, in Sellersville, he was a son of Kenneth W. and Kay F. Lesh Wieder.
He was a graduate of Hebron Center Christian School. Kris was a proud US Marine veteran attaining the rank of Corporal. “Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.” Psalms 144:1.
He was a member of the American Legion. Kris loved the outdoors and hunting. He played soccer in the Marines. He was a good storyteller and a great jokester. Kris was a die hard conservative Republican.
Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Kelly L. Wieder and Kathy E. Hope.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A Celebration of Life for Kris will be held privately and by invitation only from his sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kris’ name may be made to the LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve, 494 PA -244, Oswayo, PA 16915 or to Volunteers that Care (local cancer patient support organization), PO Box 750, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Kris’s sisters have entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
