Ronald F. Janon “beloved son and brother, loving husband, adored uncle”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Ronald Frederick Janon, beloved son and brother, loving husband, adored Uncle, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Coudersport, after a brief illness. Ron was a resident of Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA.
Ronald was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 21, 1927 to Harry Richard Janon and Katy Gordon Janon. Ronald served in the US Navy during WWII as an Aviation Machinist Mate 3rd Class and he married the love of his life, Mary Witoshynsky on Jun 10, 1961. Ron and Mary lived in Port Murray, NJ on a tree farm. Ronald had a love for music and was an avid piano player and spent many years as an elementary school teacher teaching both 3rd and 5th grades.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, his sister Aime Greenfield, and his wife Mary of over 56 years, who passed in January of 2018.
Ron is survived by his niece Leslie Greenfield, nephew Kenneth (Tong) Greenfield, nephew Eric (Annette) Witoshynsky, and many other nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, as well as a brother-in-law Al Witoshynsky and sister-in-law Olga Kennedy.
The family wishes to express their utmost appreciation for the kind and loving care Ronald received while residing at Sweden Valley Manor. Uncle Ronnie enjoyed his time living there.
There will be no services. A private internment will be held.
Ronald’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
